The Flow
Developed for high school advisory, The Flow is a framework for community-building and empowerment.
Advisory is a special time that is all too often overly structured or lacking purpose. This is because it has the potential to be a space for community-building and social-emotional learning but it is a lot to expect teachers to do additional preparation and instruction.
This is why, in 2019, we created The Flow, a student-led experience where teens can create the experience they need or choose from pre-made activities:

Conversation
Celebration

Central to The Flow is the reflection tool The Spiral.
The Spiral allows us to see our progress from a new perspective. Instead of viewing our lives linearly, we are able to see the passage of time and the connections between moments. Used in conjunction with The Flower, it gives us a detailed look into our personal growth.
